We have a few favorite sites (and blogs) that we, well, kind'a stalk! These are some of them.
Our dear friends Rick and Randy are avid travelers and divers, in addition to being excellent photographers. Check out their travel logs.
Stan Jirman is one of the most talented photographers we know... totally National Geographic material. Snooping among his photos is one of our favorite pass times. We particularly love the photos from his trip to Antartica.
Shreve Stockton has been raising Charlie, an orphaned coyote, since he was 10 days old. She has been documenting the experience on her blog thru her beautiful photography and writing. In addition, the memoirs of her first year with Charlie, "The Daily Coyote", was just released. It is a fantastic book.
Early in 2008 my friend Sharon asked me if I had noticed these fabulous painting in the January issue of Sunset magazine. They were paintings by Eli Halpin, and I immeditely fell in love with her style.
I had this big open space over my bed begging for some art, and I knew I wanted some trees. Over the next few months Eli put up with me while I decided on color themes. The trees arrived, and I could not have asked for anything better! As of right now, I have a few Halpins around my house, and i check out her portfolio often for new gems.
My dear friend Joseph is one of those super-humans with an endurance of steel. He is a Randonneur, a rare breed of long distance cyclists who partake in 1200 kilometer rides! I really think they have been put on earth to make the rest of us feel...well... not so super-human! It is a lot of fun to watch Joseph prep and participate in each and every ride, be it the Rocky Mountain 1200, or just a little 200 kilometer baby ride thru the hills of Southern California. Check out his blog. It is full of fun stories and anecdotes, and my favorite: the maps and photos.
Gregor & Jamie are Dan's oldest friends. Dan & Gregor have known each other since 2nd grade, and continue to be close friends... match made in heaven? I'd say! We really wish they lived closer to us so we could spend more time with them. And I have to say that the only time Dan doesn't cringe when talking about kids is when he's telling stories about Garrett & Griffin. He's so proud to be Unkie-Dan!
Gregor's company, Versatile Words, specializes in professional web content. You know those websites that are so nice they make you wish everyone's was the same? Well, that's what they do. Personally, I think the european hotel scene is a huge untapped market! Once they get the content right we can work on weaning them away from Flash!
